Our Centenial Season will commence with a re-enactment of the Inaugural Delegates Meeting, which was held on August 24, 1908, with a meeting at "Young & Jacksons" Hotel on August 24, 2007, the original meeting place of the VSDCA. Representatives from the 8 original VSDCA clubs and invited guests will launch our Centenial year with a dinner. A video display and radio play depicting the original meeting will be a feature of the evening. Other planned functions etc for the Centenial Season include: - October 3, 2007 Season Launch @ St Kilda Cricket Club. - November 25, VSDCUA Luncheon @ MCG. - February 11, 2008 Golf Day - February 21, 2008 Centenial Dinner @ MCG. - March 2, 2008, Cricket Match & Family Day. - March 30, "200 Game Club" Luncheon - Mid, 2008, Publication of a Video incorporating interviews with VSDCA legends & personnel, displays and events held during the season etc. - Mid - 2008, Publication of a Centenial Book. |
